- notice Santa at their own pace

Some children walk right up and begin talking. Others take a few minutes to warm up. Both responses are welcomed and respected.
Never push your child towards Santa when they’re clinging to you in fear or nervousness. Instead, approach Santa together (this is why I’ll always say to come dressed for pictures just in case this situation happens – we don’t want to miss any sweet moments). Interact with Santa and show your child he’s a safe person. Eventually they’ll understand and go to him on their own.
