Overcoming Challenges and Creating Magic
Our 2022 season of The Upstate Santa Experience was special. We had just moved from Inman to our new home on the east side of Spartanburg in October. With boxes still unpacked and limited space, we faced a few challenges. Still, we were determined to create a magical experience for every family.
Preparing the Set: Turning Challenges into Success
Our house was still coming together when the first session date arrived. We were decorating until just hours before the first family was set to arrive. Space was more limited than we planned. With careful decor placement and strategic lighting, we transformed the rooms into a beautiful Christmas setting. The parents loved the set, talking about how magical it looked and how much their children enjoyed it.
Santa Claus Brings the Magic
Each session brought its own unique magic. Santa Claus was a hit with every family, sharing stories, cookies, chocolate milk, and plenty of jokes. The children were excited to talk about their Christmas wish lists and find their names on Santa?s “Nice List.” Santa?s warm personality made every child feel special, and parents could not stop praising how much they loved him.
Creating Lasting Memories: Keepsakes and More
To make the experience even more memorable, every child received a keepsake ornament. Santa would take it from the Christmas tree and hand it to the children during the session. This simple gesture left lasting memories, and the keepsake ornaments became a treasured part of the experience for each family.
